About Candle Wicks

Candle wicks are made from cord or string. They work using a capillary action which moves the fuel (e.g. wax) towards the flame. All of the candle wicks we stock are 6cm long with a metal base, which makes them ideal for candle making, as you can cut them down to suit your needs and you don't need to worry about making the wick stay in the centre of the candle as the base will hold it still. Another great use for our candle wicks is to extend the life of existing candles where the wick has burnt out or with wax beads.
